... Oh s**t, it's a "Onceling"! ...*quickly punches self in face before a possibley rude comment comes out*

Erm... well done drawing. The wrinkles in the clothes are good...

Excuse me, but I'm gonna do a rant. I'm to protective over art and a dead man's work to not try and give a reasonable rant.

However, it baffles me how the 3D Lorax movie's young Oncler has gotten a following. Exactly WHAT is especially appealing about him to some people? I haven't thought much about the "Dr. Suess book" movies until the past few years, though there was Horton Hears a Who and that live action Grinch movie, but now that I've become more aware about them, I'm actually very upset by them. Now, I'd just like to point out, I'm just some random artist with an opinion, and I don't like to insult people, but I am the Bran, and I speak for art, because art has no tongue, and I'm upset that no one seems to think about... how would Dr. Suess view these movies? No, REALLY. HOW would he??? These movies are cash-ins on a dead artist's work, and they're not true to the books!!! In the end of the 3D Lorax movie... they plant the tree, and everything turns haaaaappy and oooookaaaaaay- NO!!! NO!!! That's NOT how the Lorax should have been ended!!! The book is deeper than most people seem to give it credit for. Really think about the ending of the book... "unless"... that's just it, it doesn't give people the answer, the kid is given the seed, and the rest is up to interpretation as to what happens after that. It leaves the reader to THINK. By the movie simply handing a "happy ending", it ignores the very important message that The Lorax was supposed to teach to begin with! Not only that, but the happy ending is achieved so insultingly easily, because all they had to do was take down the BIG BAD CORPORATION, because THAT'S ALL it needs to be right? Good vs. Evil!....WRONG! By making a villain, it lets people point fingers. Oh, it's not OUR problem about the environment, it's just BAD people. Hell, the Onceler in the movie was persuaded to become a cash machine when his family, who were clearly just made to be 100% greedy with no real human emotions, and then POOF! He no longer cares until everything goes to shit! Ya know, there was actually an animated short, like the one for How the Grinch Stole Christmas, only there were many made for others of Suess's books, one being the Lorax. There's actually a good scene where The Onceler is debating with himself over what he was doing was justified........ also, that one DIDN'T SHOW THE ONCELER'S FACE. The Onceler has only gained a following because he was made into a skinny, cutesy, weirdo hipster guy.

Okay, rant over.......................................................... *braces self for any defensive hate lash back*
